| How Our Tires Are Inspected |
| Every tire
we sell undergoes a thorough visual inspection, inside and out. Tires
are inspected for dryness, tread cracking, cuts, impact breaks,
previously repaired injuries, bead damage, sidewall cracks and bubbles,
scuffing, curb damage, inner liner damage, out of roundness, tread
cupping, front end irregularities, belt shifts, and flat spots. Tires
with improperly repaired injuries are discarded. Only nail holes
repaired in the tread are acceptable. We do not sell tires with repaired
sidewalls or multiple repairs. There are lots of tires available to us,
there is no need to sell junk!
After the visual inspection, each tire is placed on the expandable hub machine as shown below and inflated to full pressure.
|
| This machine finds any leak, even the tiniest pinhole. It also immediately finds bubbles and tread separations. This is the same as mounting the tire on a wheel, but it works a lot faster, which allows us to quickly inspect every tire we get. After this test is complete, the tread depth is measured, marked on the tire, and the tire is put into stock, ready to ship and install. These machines cost $6,000.00 each and are foolproof. If your tires mysteriously develop big gashes, take it up with the installer, because they didn't leave here that way. |
